Sanches is remembered for his short loan stint at Swansea City back in 2017 but failed to find the net from 15 appearances before returning to parent club Bayern Munich (TransferMarkt).

Despite this, supporters were excited about the prospect of Sanches moving to Anfield, with Georginio Wijnaldum’s future still looking uncertain with his contract due to expire at the end of the season.
