Many Liverpool fans have been discussing an update involving Fabinho which recently emerged on social media.
Fabrizio Romano wrote an article for the Guardian, outlining Liverpool’s plans to hand Fabinho a new deal at the club. The report claims that while the Brazilian’s current deal at Anfield runs out in the summer of 2023 the Reds are looking to extend that contract until 2025 or even further.
The club is hoping to start talks about this potential extension soon and they want to make the Brazilian one of the ‘untouchables’ of the club’s first-team.
Does Fabinho deserve a new contract?
Fabinho currently earns £100,000 a week and an extension would see him earn close to the top bracket of earners at the Merseyside-based club. Apart from him, the Reds also want to tie down Georginio Wijnaldum to a new contract soon.
The update involving the Brazilian star was relayed on Twitter by Anfield Edition, leading many Liverpool fans to give their opinion about this news.
