Liverpool: Fans react to Neil Jones update regarding Sepp van den Berg

Many Liverpool fans have been talking about the future of ostracised defender Sepp van den Berg.

According to Neil Jones of Goal, the Reds are prepared to let the 19-year-old leave in search of regular first-team opportunities, having held talks with three different clubs over a possible loan move.

The report added that those clubs concerned are from Belgium, Germany and Switzerland, with a deal likely to be agreed soon.

Van Den Berg has not featured in any games for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, having only made four first-team appearances since he arrived from PEC Zwolle in 2019.

Supporters bemoaned some of his performances during last season’s Carabao Cup games, which may have played a part in Klopp’s decision to zone him out of the squad completely for the 2020/21 campaign.

Taking all of the above into the account, this helped segments of the Kop faithful conclude that he is “not good enough” to play for the club – with these fans discussing the player and his possible exit, which some think will be the best move for both parties.
