Gini Wijnaldum could be about to call time on his Anfield era as recent contract negotiations have come to light.
Liverpool continue to be linked to Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, however, James Pearce recently stated on the Red Agenda podcast that the Reds may need to sell other players before buying (via @LFCTransferRoom).
Should Liverpool keep or sell Gini Wijnaldum?
This recent Wijnaldum revelation could come hand-in-hand with Pearce’s update, as Diario Sport (also via @LFCTransferRoom) claim the Dutchman recently rejected a new deal with the Reds.
After turning down an extension, the report states that Wijnaldum has instead agreed personal terms with Barcelona and former Netherlands head coach Ronald Koeman, who is eager to be reunited with the midfielder.
Loads of Liverpool fans have flocked to the update to air their frustrations. One supporter thinks the ‘Coutinho treatment is needed’, which could be them suggesting the fanbase should turn their backs on him after Philippe Coutinho similarly pushed for a move to Barcelona back in 2018.
