Liverpool: Fans speculate as Thiago makes Anfield his only destination choice
Liverpool could be nearing a breakthrough in their ongoing transfer saga with Thiago Alcantara.
Talks have been ongoing between the two parties but no major progress has been made despite the Reds showing little to no interest in other potential recruits.

However, a new update from RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), suggests that things could finally be nearing the finish line.
Thiago reportedly views only Liverpool as a potential destination ahead of the new season and Jurgen Klopp has already personally spoken with the midfielder, who managed 31 goals and 37 assists in 235 Bayern Munich appearances (via Transfermarkt).
A move could be close to confirmation, especially with Gini Wijnaldum perhaps looking at a one-way ticket out of Anfield in this window, with Barcelona keen to snap up the midfielder.

Some Liverpool fans are speculating over the recent update and many are hoping it could mean that Thiago is likely to move to Anfield before the season starts. One supporter has viewed the situation as ‘interesting’ whilst another is feeling more wary and feels it ‘sounds awfully familiar to Werner’.
Indeed, Timo Werner was heavily linked with the Reds before his eventual move to Chelsea, and many fans are feeling sceptical over recent events repeating themselves.
