Liverpool hope for Chelsea FAVOUR this January transfer window

Cech 1Liverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are given a glimmer of hope after The Mirror revealed that Brendan Rodgers is eyeing Chelsea’s out-of-favour stopper Petr Cech.

It is no secret that Rodgers is on the hunt for a world class goalkeeper which is why he is planning a bold move for the 32-year-old  to come in on loan in January.

The Blues legend has accepted the fact he has lost his place to Thibaut Courtois and Jose Mourinho may consider allowing his back-up keeper the opportunity to place first team football elsewhere.

Liverpool have dismissed claims that they have already lined up a bid of £3 million for Malaga’s Mexican international goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa which has been a rumour circulating the tavern recently.

Mourinho could use the January transfer window to his favour like he did last year when he sold Juan Mata to Manchester United.

Because Cech would not be allowed to play against the Blues but he would be able to play against Manchester City, United and Arsenal meaning he could sabotage their season if he put in a series of outstanding performances – which he is clearly still capable of.

Speaking yesterday, the player’s representative Juande Dios Carrasco said: “He is going to go in January and all that has to be done is to reach an agreement with Barcelona.

“There are a number of clubs in England that are ready to negotiate for him and his buy-out clause is 20 million euros.”
