Liverpool in shock swoop to sign and loan 22-year-old hotshot

Ings.jpgLiverpool fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are given a boost of confidence by the Daily Telegraph who have revealed that the Merseyside giants are close to agreeing a move for Burnley forward Danny Ings.

As part of the deal, Liverpool will loan the 22-year-old back to Turf Moor until the end of the season to help their fight against relegation.

There is a whole host of clubs who are interested in Ings with David Moyes’ Real Sociedad being the latest to throw their hat into the ring as the former AFC Bournemouth striker’s contract expires at the end of the season.

If he is snapped up this month, then Liverpool will have to pay a compensation fee which will be in the region of £3 million but the Reds may be willing to pay a little more than that to secure his services.

Liverpool may regret the decision to loan him out until the end of the season after they rued their decision to allow Divock Origi to join Lille on loan after signing him permanently from the Ligue 1 club in the summer.

Liverpool fans. Are you convinced that you will get the Danny Ings deal over the line in the coming days? Is he a good enough signing for a club of your stature? Let us know your thoughts below.
