Rumours are rife in the Transfer Tavern today concerning the fate of Liverpool’s maverick striker and Italy international, Mario Balotelli.
After only joining last summer for a fee of £16 million, the Daily Mail are saying his time is up at Anfield after a disappointing debut season that saw the ex-Man City striker only net once.
Reports suggest that a return to Serie A is on the cards, with Sampdoria set to be the most likely destination – however their club president wants to pay an even lower price for the striker than the current fee of around £7 million being discussed.
Seeing the front man score just one goal, for him to then leave at a loss of upwards of £9 million is not being looked upon fondly by the Liverpool fans, who are having a few pints in the Tavern today!

Get rid. Immature, poor attitude that ruins any hope of his talent coming through consistently. He’ll make it back to a top club again I’m sure, but we haven’t the time to wait for him to sort himself out. Shame, but as I’ve said – GET RID.

I don’t understand, BR has not given him the chance, he plays him in positions that don’t suit him, plays him as a lone striker, when he is suited to a dual strike force, our fans don’t believe in him and the club are not behind him, so I’m sorry but if my work treated me the same way I wouldn’t do things to the best of my ability either and anyone that’s says they would is a liar or a mug. Get him up front with Benteke when Sturridge is out, he has talent, he can score goals and when he has the support from all around him, he is an amazing player. KEEP HIM, give him till January to prove he can change with a team that can support him. Oh and BR please start playing all players in the correct positions, you would think after God knows how many years of managerial positions you have you would have worked that out by now. YNWA

While your getting rid of mario remember who signed him and get rid of him as well. Klopp maybe the answer but i can see Rogers time at Anfield coming to an end.
