Liverpool look to be going along pretty nicely this season, and with Mo Salah leading them, there’s every chance they can snatch a top four spot once again come the end of the season as well as even bagging a trophy to please the Anfield crowd.
Our landlord here in the Tavern has always been a big fan of manager Jurgen Klopp, and he thinks the German has done quite the job at Anfield, turning some tepid displays the fans saw previously into a team who play exciting, attacking football on a weekly basis.
The January transfer window is nearly upon us though now, and the Reds could do with strengthening in some areas, not least in the full back positions, where there’s been an element of making do with what you’ve got for Liverpool this last 18 months.
One player who the Reds simply must be looking to sign is Fulham defender and left sided whizzkid Ryan Sessegnon, who has been quite simply superb in the last two seasons, and for a player of such a young age, has shown a class and maturity well beyond his years.
There is no doubt going to be quite the scrap for his signature when he eventually does decide to move on, but Liverpool could be the perfect destination for him, with the Reds needing a left back, and manager Jurgen Klopp a boss who loves pacey players in his line up.
