Liverpool should launch a move for these 2 La Liga players in January – agreed?

Reds fans here in the Tavern are enjoying seeing their side display some impressive performances in recent times, but still feel they need to add to their ranks during January.

Of course, for a side that continues to be the subject of their own downfall, there’s going to be some errors that need ironing out. Look no further than the defensive quarter, with a central defender and a goalkeeper becoming a necessity if success is to be warranted in the future.

Nevertheless, a side can never be complete so you can’t rule out Jurgen Klopp bringing another attacker to Anfield, after seeing how influential summer signing Mohamed Salah has been this season.

Still, with fan favourite Luis Suarez being snatched from the clutches of Liverpool after his World Cup hunger issues, the Reds would love to steal a couple of world-class players back from the Spanish top-flight.

With such a prominent national side, combined with the defending world champions in their ranks, it’s clear to see that the La Liga holds some of the world’s biggest talents.

Therefore, with the Reds looking to build towards the possibility of their first Premier League title in history, and forcing a Champions League spot. Here’s a look at TWO stars that Liverpool could draw to Merseyside in January.

The Atletico Madrid defender has been influential in their side’s performances this season, after creating one of the most unbreakable defensive partnerships in world football with Diego Godin.

As a mainstay in the back-line, he’s been able to display his array of defensive abilities, ranging from his ball-playing ability, aerial ability, tackling ability and his defensive awareness.

All of which have made the Serbian one of the hottest defenders in the La Liga right now.

For a side like Liverpool that are crying out for an established and proven centre-back, this could be the man to solve their problems.

Jan Oblak

The Slovenian goalkeeper has been superb since breaking into the Atletico Madrid starting XI, as he continues to go head-to-head with Marc-Andre ter Stegen for the title of the best goalkeeper in the Spanish top-flight.

With already 13+ clean sheets in all competitions already this season, it just goes to show how difficult it’s been for strikers to score past the guardian both in Europe and domestically.

Liverpool fans have never been shy in promoting their interest in the club signing the goalkeeper, after the Reds were reportedly interested in signing Oblak in the transfer window.

Therefore, with Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius yet to be trusted by manager Jurgen Klopp, there isn’t a much better replacement than the La Liga shot-stopper.
