Liverpool are back in the Champions League after a two year absence and Jurgen Klopp appears to be a busy man in the transfer market.

The Anfield boss has already enlisted Mohamed Salah to his Liverpool side this summer. The Egyptian’s first spell in the Premier League with Chelsea was one to forget, but the winger has since rebuilt his reputation following a successful period with Roma.

The Reds have also signed Chelsea striker Dominic Solanke for a fee which will be determined by a tribunal with several others likely to follow the 19-year-old to Merseyside.

Klopp’s side have been linked with a number of reinforcements and Salah does not appear to be the only African player that could be making Anfield his new home.

Naby Keita

The RB Leipzig defensive midfielder will surely cost a fair deal and with Champions League competition next season, it is thought here in the bar that Leipzig have no intentions of selling the midfielder.

The Reds have been pursuing the Guinea international since the transfer window commenced and they may have taken one step closer to signing Naby Keita after his club RB Leipzig omitted him from their kit launch for the new season.

Klopp’s side were very shaky at the back last term and Keita’s inclusion could just bring them into the title picture.

Kwadwo Asamoah

Questions were raised over the Liverpool defence last season. Jurgen Klopp’s side conceded more than a goal per game (42 in 38 league games) and were chastised by pundits and their own supporters.

Many see Naby Keita as the man to shore up the defence, however an addition to the backline is perhaps more necessary.

James Milner filled in at left-back to replace a disappointing Alberto Moreno last season. Juventus full-back Kwadwo Asamoah is a star in Serie A. The Ghana international’s physical attributes and energy is just what Klopp is looking for.
