Luke Amos’ injury really has upset Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter

Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham haven’t enjoyed the best season on the injury front so far. Indeed, while there are bigger problems afoot in North London for the club, it’s not as if he’s had much luck in terms of getting his stars fit and ready for action so far.

So, even more injury news really is unwelcome.

While Luke Amos may not exactly be a first-team figure right now, confirmation from the club via a Twitter post that he will undergo surgery on an ACL injury picked up a PL2 team win against Blackburn Rovers.

The 21-year-old is a promising prospect and while Spurs do have options in central midfield, it’s not as if any of them have looked overly reliable. Mousa Dembele, Harry Winks and Victor Wanyama have all struggled and Amos did impress during the club’s pre-season tour of North America.

Expected to be out until next season at least, it really is a blow for the talented midfielder.

With that in mind, here’s a closer look at them.
