As the French hacks huddle around a table in The Transfer Tavern, we overhear that Lyon are preparing a big money move for young striker Loïc Rémy at Ligue 1 rivals Nice.
Le Parisien newspaper insists negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs.
The report quotes Nice shareholder Gilbert Stellardo as saying: “We’re working on our team for next season. Will it be with or without Rémy? Only God knows.”
Club president Maurice Cohen “thought he had vetoed the move” but sources “close to the club” assure the newspaper that “a cheque for €17 million or €18 million” could convince Nice to let the forward leave for OL.
