Southampton fans are set for a busy summer window in the Football Transfer Tavern as they look to improve on last season’s average performance in the Premier League.
Claude Puel led the Saints to eighth in the table, however, that was seemingly due to their late rise of form towards the end of the campaign and were relatively average for the majority of the previous eight months or so.
Although the club ended in the top-half, 15 points separated the south-coast outfit to seventh-placed Everton, something that most associated with Southampton will want to be progressed on next year.
Supporters by the bar have been reading the newspapers and have realised that their team are being linked with a wide range of players who could arrive at St. Mary’s in the coming months, but it is best for them to get their business done early.
Bearing that in mind, here are TWO players Southampton should make an early move for this summer…..
Martin Braithwaite

The 25 year-old might depart his current employer, Toulouse, following a prolific campaign in France’s Ligue 1 and Southampton could be a potential destination according to our landlord.
Martin Braithwaite has bagged twelve goals in 36 appearances across the Channel and he could easily replicate that impressive form in a Saints shirt next season, if he made the move.
Claude Puel, or whoever is manager, needs to tie him down to a deal as soon as possible.
Nelson Semedo

Nélson Semedo is one of the rising stars in the Portuguese division having earned good reviews from scouts around the world over the last year, which subsequently means he could be departing club Benfica in the summer.
Currently just 23-years-old, our Saints-mad punters are eager for the right-back to be an arrival on the Hampshire coast during the summer transfer window.
Southampton fans, is it important to get your transfer business done early? Would you welcome these two to the club this summer? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below!
