Make it quick: The 2 players that West Ham should make an early move for this summer

Share

In the Football Transfer Tavern it was clear for the majority of the season that West Ham United supporters were not satisfied with their team’s performance and that continued throughout the campaign.

At one stage there were fears that the Hammers would be brought into a relegation scrap, but, fortunately, manager Slaven Bilić avoided that as the club ended the Premier League year eleventh in the table, 11 points away from the drop zone.

Supporters by the bar are thankful that their beloved team successfully guided to what finished as a satisfactory season; not one that positively surprised the fans, nor one which casts disappointment around the stadium.

It is now the transfer window and West Ham will be eager to get their business done before they kick-off pre-season, and it’s pivotal to get those arrivals into the squad as soon as possible.

Baring that in mind, here are TWO players they need to make an early move for this summer….

Moussa Sissoko

The Frenchman’s £30 million move to Tottenham Hotspur was the major transfer in last year’s deadline day and many were surprised that such an ambitious club would swoop for a player who had just suffered relegation.

It is also fair to say that Moussa Sissoko has endured a difficult campaign in north London, meaning it’ll be unlikely he will remain at Spurs next season which suggests a departure is on the cards.

West Ham United have shown an interest and may give the attacker a life line, although there is no doubt they won’t be the only party pursuing his interest so the Hammers have to make an early approach to acquire his signature, advised by our Irons-mad punters.

Max Kruse

West Ham United have failed to have a focal point up front since Dimitri Payet’s untimely exit out of the club, which is why they should sign German forward Max Kruse at some point this summer.

The 29-year-old has gone under the radar here in the Football Transfer Tavern and could be one of the bargains of the window if he impressed next season in the Premier League.

West Ham fans, does your transfer business need to be done early? Would you welcome these two to the club? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
