Make or break: These 2 Celtic players’ futures are well and truly in limbo this summer

Celtic have won the Scottish Premier League title by an arm and a leg under Brendan Rodgers this campaign, and their fans here in the Transfer Tavern are confident that next season will be a real success too.

Barring a slightly poor Champions League campaign, it’s been a strong season for the Bhoys by all accounts and there’s hope here in the pub that with some strong summer signings, Rodgers should be in a good position to take the club even further forward next season.

But with attention now turning to the summer, there’s plenty of thought amongst supporters here in the pub that think there are some players in this Celtic squad that have nearly run their cause, and that are probably ready to leave the club, especially with change on the horizon.

So with that in mind, here’s the TWO Celtic stars whose futures are well and truly in limbo this summer…

Efe Ambrose

Efe Ambrose has been out of the Celtic first-team for most of the campaign and after his poor performances in the Champions League qualifying stages, there aren’t too many Bhoys fans here in the Tavern that want to see him stay.

The likes of Sviatchenko have done a good job this summer but Ambrose looks to be a player that will be a victim of a much-needed squad overhaul.

Nadir Ciftci

Turkish striker Nadir Ciftci arrived with a red-hot reputation having signed for the Bhoys from Dundee in the summer of 2015.

Trusted to wear the famed “number 7” jersey, which has been graced by the likes of Henrik Larsson in the past, the Turkish striker has struggled to make any real impact at Parkhead during his time in Scotland and he’s currently serving a loan switch with Polish outfit Pogon Szczecin.

His time is up and he’s certainly going to be moved on this summer and the Bhoys fans don’t seem too bothered one bit.
