There’s strong speculation regarding who Jurgen Klopp will decide to take with him on their pre-season tour.

Liverpool flaunts a proud and tradition of promoting academy graduates, and one would expect their experienced German manager to utilise the use of younger talents on their pre-season tour.

Our landlord has chosen two players that need to impress on Liverpool’s Summer tour.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Liverpool’s promising youngster made 12 appearances for the Reds and has the perfect opportunity to continue his progression as a Liverpool player on tour with Klopp’s men this summer. At the age of 18, Arnold’s future is bright, and his potential is vast, he must look to utilise every opportunity available to ensure that he develops in accordance with Liverpool’s expectation.

The right-back could also seek mentorship from Nathaniel Clyne who currently operates as Klopp’s primary defender on their right flank. If Arnold prospers for Klopp on their Summer tour, he could be an incredibly intriguing option for the forthcoming season.

Marko Grujic

The Serbian midfielder made ten first-team appearances for Liverpool last season and must impress on their pre-season tour to secure a place in Jurgen Klopp’s team.  Compared to fellow compatriot Nemanja Matic, Grujic has yet to receive a fair shot at Klopp’s first team, and consequently, he must earn his place on the German’s side while on pre-season tour.

Renowned for his commanding presence and impressive athleticism, Grujic would provide steel and brawn to the Reds’ midfield. To be considered as a legitimate first-team option, Grujic must prosper this tour to ensure that his career develops an anticipated. A player at the age of 21 requires consistent first-team involvement; he must fight relentlessly to certify he realises that ambition.
