Wolverhampton Wanderers fans here in the Tavern are extremely excited for their first season back in the Premier League. Although, a number of players will still need to be brought in this summer as there are areas that still require strengthening.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking to make even more moves on the transfer front having already secured permanent deals for Diogo Jota and Willy Boly. And, with Raul Jimenez recently joining on loan from Portuguese side Benfica, it’s clear to see that the Midlands club mean business.

But, the Premier League is never easy with some teams having the firepower to beat anyone on their day, so the summer transfer window could prove crucial. And, with many of our local residents wanting to see their side challenge for a European place next season, bringing in some added firepower will be key.

With that in mind, Wolves will challenge for the Europa League if they secure these TWO signings…

Bakary Sako

The Malian international established himself as one of Crystal Palace’s standout performers last season before sustaining an injury.

Many supporters will remember the winger from his time at Molineux, where he managed to score goals for fun and created moments of magic out of absolutely nothing. Therefore, many of our local residents would love to see him back at the club this summer, as his pace and trickery would cause all sorts of problems for the opposition.

Ignazio Abate

Wolves are in desperate need of a full-back to provide healthy competition for the ever-reliable Matt Doherty.

The former Italian international can provide a wealth of experience and has consistently performed to a high level in Europe and in the Italian Serie A throughout his career.

Nuno Espirito Santo likes to encourage his full-backs to get forward into attacking positions to help influence play in the final third, so the 31-year-old will have no trouble in using his electrifying pace to fly past the opposition’s defenders in the Premier League.
