The Manchester City fans in the Transfer Tavern have been responding to their club’s vote for April goal of the month. Three of the four options for goal of the month came in the Citizens fantastic 5-0 win over Swansea, with the only exception being Ilkay Gundogan’s strike against Manchester United that put the Sky Blues 2-0 up before half-time.

Manchester City will have plenty of options for goal of the season at the end of the campaign. The Citizens brought up a century of goals on Sunday as they thrashed West Ham 4-1 at London Stadium and have now scored 102 times in the Premier League, despite the fact they still have three games remaining in the competition. The club now need only one more goal to match the most goals scored by a team in a single Premier League season after Chelsea scored 103 times in the 2009/10 season.
The City fans propping our bar up have had a great time this season and every time a goal of the season vote comes around there is never a shortage of fantastic strikes. However, this month it seems that there will be a clear winner as fans have been raving over Kevin De Bruyne’s long-range effort across the ‘keeper in the Swansea thrashing. The Belgian playmakers has scored, and assisted some fantastic goals this season and it’d be no surprise to see him pick up another goal of the month award.
