Pep Guardiola needs to strengthen in a couple of areas in the summer transfer window, despite Manchester City’s dominance in recent times in all competitions, with a full-back and a defensive midfielder needed.

According to Calciomercato, Manchester City are tracking the progress of Tanguy Ndombele.
Indeed, the Lyon midfielder has made all the headlines over in France in the current campaign and could definitely do a job in the Premier League, but Lyon president Aulas is demanding between €75m and €80m.
It won’t be easy for Guardiola to lure him to the Etihad as the likes of Juventus, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all appear to be taking an interest in the midfielder.

Tanguy Ndombele, who is valued at £45 million (by Transfermarkt), is arguably one of the best defensive midfielders in world football at this moment in time, so bringing him to the Etihad would make a lot of sense, especially with Fernandinho getting on with age.
Indeed, the France international’s hefty price tag is understandable as he’s been nothing short of dominant in Europe and domestically, with two goals and seven assists to his name from the heart of the midfield.
