Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have gathered early ahead of this evening’s crucial Manchester derby, as they discuss transfer rumours to pass the time.
A host of big names have been linked with a move to Jose Mourinho’s side this summer but Manchester United will have to contend with some of the biggest names in world football to land their prime targets.
However, they’ve been handed a big boost in the chase for Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe and top football agent Pascal Boisseau has told L’Equipe that the Red Devils are one of only four sides who can afford the teenager.
“There are only four clubs in the world that can afford him today: Barca [Barcelona], Real [Madrid], [Manchester] City and United.”
However, Boisseau added that Mbappe should stay with the French principality side beyond the summer window.
“Leaving this summer would be the worst thing that could happen to him. It’s not a good year. Today he is flying, there is not a young man of his level. But, even if he is less good next season, Monaco will have offers at €100m also.”
Our landlord agrees with the comments as he feels Mbappe’s development would be best served at Monaco, adding that he doesn’t see where the youngster would fit in at Manchester United.
Where will Mbappe be next season? Let us know in the comments below!
