Manchester United will feel confident that they can kick on and secure a top four spot in the current campaign, having come on leaps and bounds under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Red Devils have been a joy to watch in recent times, so there’s no real need to strengthen in the first-team ranks this month. But, it appears as if United are looking to build for the future, as according to RMC Sport (further reported by the Metro), Manchester United are in discussions with AS Monaco after making an initial offer for Hannibal Mejbri.
It’s understood that United have made an offer to Monaco for 16-year-old ace Hannibal Mejbri.
And, discussions are reportedly ongoing between the Red Devils and Monaco after an initial offer.
Mejbri is yet to play for the Monaco first-team, but he’s very highly-rated.
Interestingly, bitter rivals Liverpool reportedly (as per Le Parisen, via The Sun) made an enormous offer for the youngster back in 2017, which was rejected.
Hannibal Mejbri’s dad, Lofti Mejbri, had this to say in an interview with the French news outlet:
“It has never been a question of money. If we were in for that, we could have got a lot more than what is being claimed in the press.
“I will give an anecdote: after signing for Monaco whilst on holiday in Tunisia, a lawyer with a mandate from Liverpool called me with an enormous offer.”
It’s clear to see that the youngster has been chased for a long period of time, so the Red Devils will be desperate to secure his services at some point today.

Hannibal Majbri operates as an attacking midfielder, with 5 caps to his name for the France Under-16s.
Manchester United appear to be building for the future, which makes sense as there’s very few improvements to be had in the first-team ranks at this moment in time.
So, having made an offer for the youngster already with discussions ongoing, they’ll be hoping to secure a deal.
