Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern are preparing for a return of one of the longest sagas in football, as speculation on the future of a star-man continues to rise once again.
Real Madrid continue to eye Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea and are determined to see a move go ahead this summer, after infamously seeing a deal collapse in the dying moments of the 2015 summer transfer window.
This year, Zinedine Zidane’s side are making their approaches early to ensure they don’t suffer another humiliating collapse of a deal and Spanish outlet Marca states they’ve already agreed a deal with De Gea; adding that the goalkeeper has told United he wants to leave.
However, claims of De Gea pushing for an exit are denied by Manchester United themselves, as The Daily Telegraph states that the Red Devils have made it clear that their Spanish stopper has not asked for a transfer- although Mourinho is preparing for a possible departure.
United do not want to sell this summer but Mourinho is exploring options between the sticks in case his hand is forced, with our landlord stating he expects the club to move for Atletico Madrid stopper Jan Oblak.
