Manchester United fans are choking back tears in the Transfer Tavern after reading reports that a fan favourite looks set to snub a return to Old Trafford.
TalkSport run with claims from French outlet Le Parisian, which state Cristiano Ronaldo ‘would love’ to become part of the Paris Saint-Germain project next season.
The French paper have revealed what they believe Ronaldo whispered into the ear of manager Laurent Blanc after Real Madrid secured a narrow 1-0 victory over their Ligue 1 counterparts in the Champions League group-stage match at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“Your team plays very well. I would love to work with you.”
Some at the bar are unconvinced by these claims but they all share concerns that PSG may beat United to Ronaldo’s signature, as the oil-rich French giants possess the financial might to blow any rivals out of the water.
