As the Football Transfer Tavern prepares for this afternoon’s FA Cup Final, Manchester City fans are hoping to collect their first silverware of the season with victory against Wigan Athletic.
Zarif Rasul from talkSPORT has popped into the bar to let City supporters know that Roberto Mancini could start his summer spending spree with the capture of Sevilla winger Jesus Navas.
City are reportedly considering a big money summer move for Navas who has spent his entire career with the Spanish club. The Spanish international, who came close to signing for Chelsea in 2003, has a buy-out clause of £30 million with the La Liga side but Sevilla could be ready to sell at around £25 million with his contract slowly expiring.
The former Premier League champions could now bring Navas, who has won 23 caps for his country, to Manchester during the summer as they seek to wrestle the title back off Manchester United.
However, City may yet face competition from Borussia Dortmund for his signature with the Champions League finalists looking to replace Munich bound forward Mario Gotze during the summer.
