Manchester City fans have responded indifferently here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it has been claimed by Inside Futbol that one of the club’s players will not be moving on this summer.
Samir Nasri has not exactly been the success the club thought he would be after a move to the Etihad Stadium from Arsenal and it had been thought that the player could well return to his native France and make the switch to mega bucks Paris Saint-Germain. However the player himself has now moved to rubbish these claims and make it very clear that he will not be leaving the Premier League anytime soon.
The French International himself claimed to Telefoot: “My transfer to PSG is just a rumour. The Parisian club have never contacted me.”
He also added in news that is not exactly reassuring for the Manchester City fans supporting punters in the tavern: “Rest assured, I’ll still be in Manchester next year.”
Sadly for Nasri, the City fans do not seem to be as pleased as he is with the news that a transfer is off the cards and ideas that he could be sold to raise money or indeed balance the books for the Financial Fair Play rules seem but a distant dream. All that is left for City fans now is to hope that the player can recreate the form he showed all the way back when the side won the title.
