Manchester United fans are rather eagerly looking up from their pints here in the Football Transfer Tavern after it was claimed by Metro that the club could well be set to see Nani leave.

We have been speculating about the future of the Portuguese winger for some time now and while it seems that he may not be wanted at Old Trafford, he is certainly coveted elsewhere.

Valencia are set to be in the money after a proposed takeover from Singapore businessman Peter Lim and he has reportedly promised that Nani could be one of the players arriving at the Mestalla.

One of our punters moves away from his pint and makes a joke that Nani would not be the player he would chose to buy if he had a £50 million war chest to spend – but then again owners work in strange ways!

Should the takeover at Valencia go through, a move for Nani would happen is a matter of days according to the publication.
