Manchester United and Chelsea fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking concerned as Sky Sports revealed that Juventus have no need to sell Paul Pogba.
The general manager of the Serie A giants, Giuseppe Marotta, has said the club have no intention of selling one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
The transfer rumour mill has set the tone with people thinking that Pogba is certain to move.
But Marotta is keen on stamping out this thought as speculation continues to circulate for the 22-year-old star.
Chelsea and United are seen as the favourites with Manchester City, PSG and Real Madrid all interested in the Frenchman.
“Pogba is a young player with lots of promise but he is realising his potential,” said Marotta after Juve beat Genoa 1-0 on Sunday.
“We want to win and we don’t necessarily have to sell our best players. It is clear that players of this quality attract interest from other clubs but we don’t seek buyers and there has been no contact.”
Despite his efforts to end the rumours, there is still a reported fee of £60m floating around the Tavern, and that is certainly one hefty sum to dish out!
As things stand, United are strong favourites to land his signature, after he left the club back in 2012, and a host of Red Devils fans inside the Transfer Tavern admit they would be ecstatic to land Pogba.
