Manchester United buoyed in attempts to complete swap deal

moyes aThe Daily Mirror certainly have some sensational news for us here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

They seem to be under the impression that Manchester United could well be set to push through a swap deal involving one of their unwanted players and a top target.

As we all know, Shinji Kagawa has not been given regular chances under manager David Moyes.

The player who did so well for Borussia Dortmund under Jurgen Klopp has been in and out of the United side and as one of our punters notes, he has often played on the wing as opposed to his favoured number 10 role.

Now it seems that Kagawa could well be involved in a swap deal with Ilkay Gundogan, who of course plays for Kagawa’s former club in the Bundesliga, and has made it perfectly clear that he is open to a move as well.

We think that a move could be good for all parties. Klopp has made no secret of the fact that he is a huge Kagawa fan and punters in the tavern will be keeping a close eye on the potential of this deal as the summer draws closer.

Is this a swap deal that makes sense for both parties involved? Let us know your thoughts below.
