Metro have Manchester United fans looking up with smiles on their faces here in the Football Transfer Tavern as the publication seems to think that Radamel Falcao has finally convinced Louis van Gaal of his fitness.

The Manchester United forward has not been at his very best since a loan move from Monaco was sanctioned but as our regulars note, in recent games he has made a huge impact.

Falcao is looking increasingly impressive and our resident Red Devils supporters have raised a pint to the Colombian after he rescued a point for them in their last outing at Stoke City.

Now it seems that Monaco will enter into talks with United over a permanent transfer for Falcao once his loan spell ends this summer.

Whilst that may be bad news for Real Madrid who were also reportedly keen on the former Atletico Madrid forward, it seems that Arsenal have been handed an Edinson Cavani boost given the Uruguayan forward could well find they are his only option.
