Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are given a big boost after Metro revealed that Porto defender Danilo has denied any knowledge of an impending transfer to Real Madrid.
Many United fans in the Transfer Tavern had accepted their fate regarding this transfer saga, but it seems as though there is life left in this one.
The Brazilian defender has been become one of the most sought after right backs in Europe and the 23-year-old is flattered by the interest from the likes of Madrid and United.
It has been floating around the Tavern that Madrid had completed a move for the youngster but Danilo has rejected those claims.
“The interest of the big clubs is very important to me, but I have not spoken to anyone and I know nothing of any offer from Real Madrid,” he said.
“At the moment I think only about this season, then we’ll talk about the future.
“I’m having a great time with Porto and I’m focused on the championship and Champions League with them.’
So this now opens the door again for Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal to make his best efforts to seal a deal for the defender, and United fans in the Tavern feel he should go for it!
