Manchester United star’s contract isn’t putting Ligue 1 giants off

Adnan JanuzajThe January arrival of Juan Mata at Old Trafford was supposed to be the answer to David Moyes woes.

However, the weekend’s defeat to Stoke City left Red Devils supporters in the Football Transfer Tavern wondering just how deep the crisis could get.

That negative result left them seven points off Liverpool in fourth and the all-important Champions League qualification places.

Now their mood has been worsened by the latest reports by Jeremy Cross from the Daily Star who suggests that French money-bags outfit Paris Saint-Germain are considering a massive £40 million move for Red Devils wonderkid Adnan Januzaj.

The 19-year-old only penned a new deal at Old Trafford in October worth £30,000-a-week, but that hasn’t prevented interest from the Ligue 1 giants as they to take advantage of the current situation with the Premier League champions.

Former United player Laurent Blanc has outlined the young attacking midfielder as his number one summer transfer target, with the Parc Des Princes club willing to pay anything up to £40 million for the starlet.

With a contract worth £100,000-a-week on the table in Paris, and the chance to play and live in a fascinating city, we think that Januzaj would seriously consider an offer for the French club.

Especially as United become less appealing under Moyes as their status as one of the world’s best football club falls.
