Football Transfer Tavern’s favourite European striker Robert Lewandowski is set to reject Manchester United in order to join Bayern Munich from Borussia Dortmund this summer according to the Daily Mail.
Incoming United boss David Moyes has not had a say on the Lewandowski move but Sir Alex Ferguson was desperate to bring to the lethal Polish striker to Old Trafford before he announced his retirement.
Ferguson will use his new director role at the Red Devils to aid Moyes in any way he can but the former Everton boss will not have the luxury of Lewandowski next season.
The Dortmund striker has entered advanced talks with Bayern over a summer switch that would see Pep Guardiola get his man and continue forming his formidable dream team in Munich.
United striker Wayne Rooney has been told to stay at the club but if he forces a move away from Old Trafford, a striker will be top of Moyes’ transfer wishlist this summer.
