The Real Madrid winger is enjoying another fine goalscoring season but after Los Blancos fell significantly behind Barcelona in the La Liga title hunt and were knocked out of the Champions League by Borussia Dortmund, things aren’t all rosy in the Spanish capital.
United are unlikely to make a move for their former fans favourite this summer as Ronaldo as indicated that he wants to fulfil his contract at Real, but a long-term plan to lure the Portuguese winger could be in place.
Ronaldo’s current deal will expire in the summer of 2015 when he will be 30-years-old, but Madrid may want to sell their main man instead of losing him on free.
The runner-up in the World Player of the Year poll is refusing to sign a contract extension.
