Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are hit with surprising news from the Daily Star as they reveal that the Red Devils still have a slim chance of signing Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus despite the German signing a new deal this week.
Many assumed that the chances of purchasing the German international were completely dead, however reports suggest that if they can stump up £50 million, then they stand a good chance of luring him to Old Trafford.
With Dortmund in meltdown at the moment, sitting only a point above bottom place in the Bundesliga, many thought that Reus would be on his way out of Signal Iduna Park at the end of the season.
But Reus has displayed admirable loyalty and now that he has signed a new deal, it is unlikely United will pay such a big fee for his services.
Something, which interested clubs so much in the past, was his price tag which was only in the region of £30 million.
