Rangers are lining up a possible move for Napoli defender Emilson Sanchez Cribari after being offered to the Ibrox side the management team are looking at the move with serious consideration. This is an area that Rangers do not have a lot of cover in and strengthening will be key.
Cribari has been offered to Rangers on a free after failing to break in to the Napoli side last season. The stopper didn’t get many chances to prove himself last season as Napoli did so well he found it difficult to make an impact in the side, although with previous experience at Empoli, Udinese and Lazio he would add much needed experience to the Rangers defence.
With Bougherra and Weir still to decide there futures Cribari would be an excellent additon to the playing staff.
Speaking to The Scottish Sun former Rangers favourite Lorenzo Amoruso has praised the defender by saying “He is Brazilian but more like a typical Italian centre half, Cribari has been in my country for so long now, he has learned how to be totally focused and concentrate on defending 100 percent”. This news will come as inspirational to Rangers fans as Brazilians do not tend to make it in the Scottish game, with Emerson. Juninho and Scheidt all flopping in the SPL.
