‘Most would struggle to score on FIFA’ - Chelsea fans delighted as Pedro nets UCL opener

It didn’t take long for the Chelsea fans here in the Transfer Tavern to start enjoying their return to Champions League action tonight.

Indeed, this is a night that has been talked about for months now and the Blues in the bar were delighted to see the universally popular Pedro open an early lead for the home side against Qarabag.

Though the Premier League champions went into tonight as red hot favourites, the Azerbaijani outfit could always have proven to be somewhat of a banana skin this evening.

While there’s still a long way to go, the fact that Antonio Conte’s men have taken an early lead has settled a few nerves here in our bar, with the Italian opting to rest the likes of Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard.
