Things aren’t going too well for Jose Mourinho right now as his tenure in charge of Manchester United struggles to get off the ground.
For the United fans in the Transfer Tavern, the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is yet to wholly convince in charge at Old Trafford, despite his heavy expenditure in the transfer market over the course of the summer.
Though the Red Devils are some way off the pace in the Premier League title race, the fast-approaching January transfer market at least gives some of the fans reason to smile.
What the Portuguese desperately needs at the Theatre of Dreams is a quick-fix, players able to get certain jobs swiftly and efficiently in order to help his cause.
So, where better to look than the German market?
With a certain Bastian Schweinsteiger recently returning to training, perhaps Mourinho is warming to the idea of having German talents in his side.
That being said, here are TWO further Germans who’d be perfect for United in January.
Antonio Rüdiger

Recently linked with a move to the Theatre of Dreams, German international Antonio Rüdiger would be a signing to further bolster the backline.
Though Eric Bailly has certainly impressed since arriving, his injury has really shown the defence to be as frail as once thought a few years ago, with doubts about Marcos Rojo’s future.
The Roma man is a powerful option to marshall the rearguard and looks tailor made for a Mourinho defence.
Max Meyer

Still just 21 years of age, Schalke midfielder Max Meyer boasts bags of top level experience.
Goals are proving hard to come by for the Red Devils right now and while the German international is not a natural centre-forward, he’s a thoroughly skilful wide man to truly lift backsides off their seats.
Could be a huge player in the years to come, so United would be wise to ensure he develops at Old Trafford.
