Sunderland are slowly working their way towards the Championship as they currently sit in the bottom three with them not in great form either as we head towards the business end of the season.

They need to change something up, then, and fast.

Indeed, the Black Cats need to really try shuffling their team and getting the best out of the players they already have in the very bad situation they find themselves in.

David Moyes has been quite stubborn in using the players he has and he truly hasn’t given some of the players who are on the fringes of the team their chance.

Of course when in desperate times, sometimes you need to be just calling on your very best players but when it’s not working perhaps it’s time for a change?

JOEL ASORO

When in desperate times trying to survive in the top division, sometimes it pays off to give a player not too well known to the masses a chance. Sunderland could do that by giving the very talented young Joel Asoro the nod in their coming fixtures.

He’s featured very sparsely for the Black Cats in the past couple of seasons and now with the team in a dire situation he could be a breath of fresh air!

GEORGE HONEYMAN

A great last name but also a solid midfielder.

Honeyman has featured a couple of times for Sunderland when really he could make a much bigger impact in the heart of the midfield than say Darron Gibson according to some of our punters.

Honeyman possesses great strength and isn’t afraid to get stuck in and that is what Sunderland need right now – a committed player who can help push them out of the rut they currently find themselves in.
