Napoli, Juventus keen on under fire Chelsea striker

Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson is facing an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge, with Serie A pair Napoli and Juventus leading a large list of clubs interested in signing the player. Sky Sports has reported that three unnamed Premier League clubs are also keen on the player as well as multiple clubs in Saudi Arabia.

This interest follows Jackson’s second red card in four club games – with the striker sent off for a studs-up challenge just four minutes after coming on as a substitute during Chelsea’s 3-1 loss to Flamengo at the Club World Cup on Friday.

He will now be suspended for Chelsea’s final Group D game against Esperance on Wednesday at least. FIFA can increase his suspension after they review the incident.

Jackson was also sent off against Newcastle last month, handing him a three-match ban that will extend into Chelsea’s 2025/26 Premier League season opener against Crystal Palace. Discipline concerns have now  cast doubt on his future.

So to has the £30m arrival of Liam Delap, who started the match against Flamengo and could stake a claim for the permanent number 9 spot.

Jackson wanted by several clubs

Sky Sports reports that Juventus and Napoli want to sign Jackson but may struggle to afford the potential transfer fee and wage demands. Jackson has also attracted interest from three Premier League clubs and teams in Saudi Arabia.

The player is not for the sale at the moment as Chelsea are planning to have two strikers in their squad next season. The Blues are set to return to the Champions League and will need a larger squad to compete on multiple fronts.

Jackson scored 13 goals in 36 games in all competitions last season, a total deemed not good enough by many Blues supporters. He has 24 total Premier League goals in 65 appearances since joining Chelsea from Villareal in 2023 for £30m.

He is under contract until 2033, having signed a two-year contract extension last summer.
