Newcastle fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are happy to see that their club are being pushovers as they are set for a mass exodus this summer.
According to The Sun, Mike Ashley and the board at Newcastle are demanding £10 million for Daryl Janmaat.
This puts the Geordies and the defender in a tough situation because Juventus are interested in buying the player, but they are only willing to pay £5 million for his services.
With the Serie A champions only willing to pay half, it is reported the Magpies would be willing to settle at £7 million.
The difficulty is that the Bianconeri don’t see Janmaat as a key signing and wouldn’t be too fussed if they can’t agree a deal.
Whilst Newcastle are looking to get as much money for their in-demand players, but don’t want to put off potential buyers by setting their asking prices too high.
Juve intend to purchase Janmaat as a back up and competition for Stephan Lichtsteiner.
