‘No ambition’ – Liverpool fans hijack club post demanding FSG get the chequebook out

The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have jumped onto the back of one of their club’s Twitter posts to demand that the club make some signings. The club tweeted a link to the Liverpool website to a piece on Trent Alexander-Arnold and how James Milner has been a big influence on him, although the fans are having none of it as they want to see Nabil Fekir and Alisson Becker signed.

It’s been a tough few days for the Liverpool fans, the deal they had in place for Fekir has supposedly fallen through, despite the fact that they’d already agreed on a fee for the player, sorted out the personal terms and done an introductory interview with him on LFCTV. The hammer blow of not getting Fekir was still raw when the news broke yesterday via Sky Sports News that Alisson was unlikely to sign for The Reds either, despite months of speculation.

The Reds propping our bar up, despite already signing Fabinho, are getting sick and tired of their club not being more proactive for deals. The fans expect to see a new goalkeeper through the door at Anfield by the start of the new Premier League season after calamity Karius threw away the Champions League final with his almighty blunders. The fans will be hoping that they can wrap up some more deals soon, or it won’t be worth Liverpool’s Twitter account tweeting anything.

Despite the fact that Fabinho has signed and Naby Keita will be joining the club this summer, the fans still aren’t happy. The Reds are demanding signing after signing and it’s unrealistic in today’s market, however, the club will somehow have to try and please the impatient fans.
