With the Rangers fans here in the Transfer Tavern still discussing as to who exactly they want as the club’s new manager, arguments are always likely.
Indeed, our local Light Blues can’t decide on who they want to replace Pedro Caixinha, much like the board as the search for a new boss drags on. So, reports linking them with a move for Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neil has certainly split opinion.
The 48-year-old has impressed in charge of his nation, taking them to the quarter-final stage of Euro 2016, though does not have much experience at club level, a concern for some of our resident Gers. Some of our drinkers have their eyes set on other targets, so O’Neil would be a divisive figure at Ibrox.
Whether or not he leaves his job at Windsor Park after failing to make the World Cup remains to be seen, though perhaps a move to Glasgow wouldn’t be the best move for him, if our punters are to be believed.
So, having said all that, here’s a look at how Rangers fans reacted to reports linking them Michael O’Neil.
Hold your heads up high Northern Ireland…Cheated out of the World Cup. Michael O’Neil deserves enormous praise for getting them this far…Rangers hierarchy please take note.

Michael O’Neill has managed Brechin City and Shamrock Rovers in his entire club management career. Next Rangers Manager?

Michael O’Neil would be a brilliant appointment for Scotland but terrible for Rangers for sure!
