Norwich City: Fans in disbelief after Jamal Lewis pulls out of Northern Ireland squad

Norwich City fans were in disbelief after Jamal Lewis pulled out of the Northern Ireland squad for the upcoming internationals with an injury.

The £8.1m-rated defender has withdrawn from the squad with a knee injury he suffered in the 5-1 loss at the hands of Aston Villa.

The injury makes him the 11th player currently on the treatment table for manager Daniel Farke’s side after they had 10 out of their game against Aston Villa (via BBC).

The goalkeeping department is where the club is arguably hamstrung the most, with both first and second-choice ‘keepers Tim Krul and Ralf Fahrmann out of action. That left third-choice Michael McGovern as the starter in Saturday’s heavy defeat.

Fans seemed to be in utter shock after yet another injury for the Norfolk side in an already punishing season, as they took to Twitter to react.
