Not just Suso: Liverpool should consider re-signing these 2 players this summer

Share

Our Liverpool fans here in the Transfer Tavern are talking about being linked with a move for their former player Suso for a second time this season, if they meet his £40m release clause.

Jurgen Klopp should be aiming to improve on the squad he already has, and alongside defensive areas to strengthen the German would do well to add back up attackers to bring some depth to the team.

The Reds have been linked with former player Suso who is currently playing for AC Milan in Serie A. Indeed, by what our barman has been saying, he’s having a tremendous season so far, with the Spaniard grabbing eight goals and five assists this season and is one of AC Milan’s constant high performers in the league.

He can play on the right or down the middle of a front three, however, our regulars remember his dismal time at Liverpool, which saw him feature in just a handful of games throughout the 2012/13 season.

With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at TWO other ex-players that Klopp should consider bringing back in the summer…

Jordon Ibe

The former Liverpool man moved to the south coast a couple of seasons ago and has flourished ever since. With his pace and assisting ability, it certainly would be a great re-addition to the squad.

Klopp would surely love to have more attacking options going into next season, especially if they have ambitions of bringing domestic trophies to the club under his tenure.

The 24-year-old has six assists and a couple of goals in the Premier League so far this season and has helped the Cherries avoid relegation this year.

Raheem Sterling

In a controversial move back to Anfield, it would certainly give Liverpool an edge over most of their rivals. Sterling has been in sparkling form this season with Man City and to add that to Klopp’s fantastic array of talent – would make the Reds even more dangerous than they already are.
