Wolves: Fans criticise Nuno Espirito Santo for calling out Lee Mason

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Nuno Espirito Santo let rip at referee Lee Mason following his side’s 2-1 defeat to Burnley last night.

The Portuguese tactician was critical of the officiating after his side were on the receiving end of strikes from Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood either side of half-time.

Quoted by Talking Wolves, Nuno told reporters after the game that he does not want to see Mason take charge of any more games for Wolves, adding that he does not possess Premier League “quality.”

Joao Moutinho was lucky not to get himself sent off after appearing to stamp on Josh Brownhill – but got away with it as VAR did not deem it to fall under the category of violent conduct.

Taking this into account, supporters were not interested in what Nuno had to say, stating that they merely deflection tactics and “excuses” after what was a poor performance from the team.
