Wolves: Fans criticise Nuno Espirito Santo after Leicester City defeat

Lots of Wolves fans blamed manager Nuno Espirito Santo’s negative approach during their 1-0 defeat to Leicester City on Sunday.

While they lost the game, it was in controversial circumstances as the match was decided by a first-half penalty from Jamie Vardy. Max Kilman was judged to have handled Dennis Praet’s cross, even though he was stood very close to him.

Referee Anthony Taylor gave the penalty after consulting the VAR official using the pitch-side monitor.

Wolves lacked that creative spark needed to get over the line on the day, with just two shots on target and only producing one clear-cut chance (Sofascore).

With this in mind, supporters were critical of the manager, whose side missed the chance of moving into the top four, had they beaten Leicester.
