Ones to watch: You need to keep your eyes peeled on these 2 Chelsea starlets

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly anticipating the beginning of the defence of their Premier League crown.

Chelsea get a lot of stick for the sheer number of players they have out on loan at any one time.

Last season Chelsea had 37 players out on loan.

Whilst that does seem excessive, within those players who have spent time on loan are some of the most talented youngsters in Europe.

Chelsea have one of the best academy’s for developing players at their disposal, it’s just a shame that these youngsters hardly ever get a chance in the first team.

It isn’t completely impossible for these youngsters to get their chance and there are a few players who our landlord thinks could make their way into the first team sooner rather than later.

On that note, here are two Chelsea starlets who you should keep an eye on.

Tammy Abraham

Tammy Abraham spent last season on loan at Championship side Bristol City and managed to score 23 goals in the process.

A proven goal scorer, the 19-year-old is now on loan at Swansea as the Welsh club looks to fix their goal problems in an attempt to stay up come the end of next season.

The youngster is finally getting a chance at consistent first team football in the top flight this season so expect him to take his chance and give Antonio Conte something to think about.

Jay Dasilva

Last month Jay Dasilva re-joined Charlton Athletic for a second loan spell following on from signing a new contract with the Blues.

The 19-year-old plays predominantly as a left back but can push further up the field as a left midfielder which makes him a perfect fit for Conte’s 3-4-3 formation.

Should he get given more first team chances at Charlton this season then expect to see him featuring in the Chelsea side before too long.
