While it’s been a promising season on the European front for Rangers under Steven Gerrard so far, yesterday’s loss at Livingston certainly proved just how much work the former England captain has to do in order to turn his side into genuine contenders.
Ahead of next weekend’s meeting with league leaders Heart of Midlothian, the Gers missed a wonderful chance to put serious pressure on the Jambos after slipping to defeat in West Lothian and now trail the top spot by eight points.
Indeed, after a loss like that, Twitter was sent into a complete meltdown. There were many people blamed for the defeat, though none more so than young midfielder, Ovie Ejaria.
The England U20 international put in a poor performance in central midfield, invoking the ire of users on social media. On loan from Liverpool, the 21-year-old clearly has a lot to learn before he can be considered a genuine talent.
With that in mind, here’s a look at what Rangers fans made of his performance.
