Pardew Offered £5M Flop?

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun is attracting interest from Newcastle United, according to the Mirror.

The former Liverpool star has failed to make an impact at Chelsea since signing last summer with injury problems the main reason for the Israeli’s lack of game time.

With Chelsea still holding out hope of a deal for Tottenham Hotspur’s Luka Modric, Benayoun’s time at Stamford Bridge could be limited. This has alerted Newcastle boss Alan Pardew who is desperate to cover the loss of Kevin Nolan and the potential sale of Joey Barton.

Benayoun has also been linked in with a deal that could see Modric join Chelsea, but this rumour that Newcastle might be in the frame strikes me as no more than that. A rumour.

If Pardew did get involved in this, then Benayoun’s stock must have fallen significantly during his uninspiring spell at Stamford Bridge. The sorry fact is that Newcastle deserve better. But will they get it?

Well now, when it comes to football, one man has for many years been the most noticeable, the most controversial, and occasionally the most successful blogger this country has ever produced. His pithy words and abrasive style make him as famous off the pitch as he is on it. This man is Escapini. "I love football. Football she's a cruel mistress. She's, she's more than a mistress. She's a wife, she's a mother, she's a daughter, she's an errant child. She's a… she's a… she can make you laugh, she make you cry. She can bring tears me eyes. She can bring blood to me shoulders. She can bring a kettle to the boil." "Cause football is about nothing, unless it's about something and what it is about, is football."
